Wifi issues on my  (windows 7)
Hi for some reason when i connect my laptop with the wifi hotspot on my phone it comes up with limited access, it never use to do that. Even when i went to a friends house i connected with their wifi but it still came up with limited access, however i do have a telstra usb modem and that works fine for internet. But i would love to be able to use wifi again. I would really appreciate any help, thanks :) (windows 7)

Please make sure that your wireless adaptor is working fine. Go to the device manager and see if there are ny yellow exclamation mark on the Wireless adpator not no. Also try to update the drivers for the wirless adaptor.

Tried those things, it didn't have any yellow in the network adapters and I updated the network adapter to ''Broadcom 802.11n'' driver version 5.100.57.8 but din't do anything, so I tried the windows network diagnostics on the wifi I was using and it came up with ''The Diagnostics Policy Service is not running''. And just to make matter worse I had a look at the fire wall and it said i needed to use the recommended settings (which is weird because I don't remember changing them) so I clicked on the ''Use recommended settings'' button and it came up with ''Windows Firewall can't change some of your settings. Error code 0x8007042''. Just wanted to mention the firewall problem just in case their interfering with each other.

Hi, Does this issue occur to other computers? Please reinstall the driver, uninstall the driver from Device Manager, and then scan for new hardware to install the driver again: 1. On the device Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall. Follow the instructions. 2. Restart your computer. 3. Open Device Manager, click Action, and then click Scan for hardware changes. Follow the instructions. For you second issue, I would like to suggest you try to check Diagnostics Policy Service status: 1. Type Services in the start Search box, click services. 2. Scroll down to "Diagnostic Policy Service”. 3. Right click this service, and select Start. Hope it helps.
